What a week! I’m so tired!

Work is a bit hectic, with the degree show going up ready for next week’s assessment and I’ve not stopped in the evenings, either! (Hence the lack of posts!)

Still, we’re off out to dinner with Simon’s parents tonight so it’s all good!

May 14th

Well, last night I got so engrossed in doing part of my family tree that I forgot to blog entirely! I got several new members onto it but it’s frustrating as I have a lot of research to do from just after the 1911 census period. Grr!

I also got a load of cutting done for a dress pattern - pics when I can. I’ve got the calico cut and marked up from the pattern so now it just needs altering to fit me!

Today has been busy at work, with a never ending queue of students, so much so that I’ve been tempted to shut and lock the office door at times!

Tonight Simon has a gig with The Spinal Tapps in Long Eaton. This means rushing home from work in order to get there for 6pm. The gig doesn’t start until 8pm but we have to do setup. No doubt I’ll be sent out with a food order at some point!

April 30th

Busy day today. Hadn’t quite recovered from the lack of weekend sleep but it went quickly enough so that was good. I went to my first ‘stretch & relax’ class tonight. I’m hooked! It’s a mix of Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and relaxation techniques. Bliss! Came home to Skype both sets of parents and introduce our new family member. Butternut has been amazing. She walked straight into the cat carrier, was great at the vets and has had cuddles all evening. Bobo has also had cuddles but is obviously still rather put out about the whole situation!

March 3rd

Well, it’s been an eventful day!

We started off by trying to give the cat her medicine, which she promptly spat out, despite numerous attempts… Never have I had such trouble, even with the feistiest of animals!

She looks like butter wouldn’t melt:

Then we went off to Knutsford for a potter around the shops.

I have now added 4 more things to my Christmas 2012 present box, go me! At this rate, I’ll have it sorted by June!

We went out for lunch, where, as usual, they didn’t have what I’d chosen and they messed up Trish’s food. Still, they were very good about it and it was sorted quickly. :o)

On our way back, we went via the pub, then Asda for tomorrow’s lunch (and a sewing magazine with some great free patterns…) and Trish drove us home.

Now, I’m sitting on the sofa half-asleep already waiting for home-made burgers courtesy of Tom! NOM!

I don’t know what this evening will hold but I do think I won’t be conscious for long!
