Back after a break!
Well, I forced myself to have a break from blogging because I had news I couldn’t tell and was feeling rather ill and therefore negative and didn’t want to inflict it on anyone else!
So, news…
I’m 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant!! :)
It’s been a long time coming. I’m now mainly over the 24/7 nausea stage and into a bit more ‘grinning like a looney’...

October 8th
What a great weekend. Simon’s parents visited on Friday night. Saturday we went out for lunch with friends. Simon got his lip pierced after lunch. In the evening we went to a party. Sunday I saw another good friend, followed by another couple of friends. Theme of the weekend: Friends!

TGIF!
I’m TIRED today… Simon got in at 2am and I couldn’t get back to sleep. :o(
Simon’s parents are staying tonight so we both have to look alive!

What a lovely day. The 1st years are working well and are chatty, a load of 2nd years came in just for a chat and catch-up today, I went out to lunch with the finishing Masters students (and just managed not to cry!) and this afternoon I’ve been wandering round helping people - no stress! Nice!

Where did the time go?! October, already! Woah!
First day in the workshops for our first years and I have to say I’m impressed with the first group. Nice. Puts a smile on my face. Let’s hope they keep it up!
Seen a few more familiar faces in the shape of third years but no second years as yet. Still, early days…
I’ll hopefully get a nice, relaxing evening tonight. Dunno...

September 30th
Busyish day today. Simon finished painting the living room alcove and put the shelves back up. I have done more cleaning and washing. Doesn’t sound like much but it took all day!
29th Septrmber
Knackered! Done loads of cleaning, washing, cooking and shopping.
Simon has stripped the wallpaper from one of the alcoves in the living room, sanded and painted it and it now looks ace. One alcove and some skirting to go and the room will be complete! :)

Well, today has been quite varied. Good group of freshers, lovely international students, too!
Soooo tired right now. Another early night? Seems to be becoming a habit! Erk!

Simon is coming to my work today with 10 colleagues to throw some clay pots as part of his work’s social committee. :o)
Tonight is Stained Glass Class, so looking forward to that!

Booooo! I’ve not been complaining about it because it would get boring but my ankle has been slowly getting more painful for the last month. Well, today I gave in and went to the doctor. Bad news. I’ve torn the ligament behind my ankle. :(
No running or boot camp for me for 3-6 months. Not happy.
At least I can cycle and swim and row. Doc also said that I can do yoga and pilates so...

Open day at work today! Lots of potential new students looking round asking questions… Lots of talking, too!
I also managed to wedge about 70 kilos of red clay and bag it up. That’s my weight in clay… Eek!
Quite tired this evening but managed some ukulele practice when I got in. Time to curl up with a book now!

Not a lot to say today.
Been at work where, after a year, the problem with our faulty heater has been resolved. What was it? Why were we cold all last winter. Drumroll. It was turned off. At the switch. A bright red switch.
Really?! Before you jump to conclusions, that switch was in a locked panel that the engineers all have access to and I don’t.

5 miles on the bike today already! Had my blood test and we’re all ready to vote and head off to Alton Towers to meet Simon’s parents. Then it’s spa and relax! :)

Well, today I’ve done a stock take and made some tiles.
Tonight I will be washing and cleaning.
Tomorrow early a nurse is going to jam a needle in my arm and extract some blood. I will then go and vote.
At around 11am, Simon and I are getting outta Dodge and heading to Alton Towers for an overnight stay with Spa. :o)

Didn’t post yesterday due to a fog of hangover! Pretty much the same this morning, too. Oops!
Did some gardening this afternoon then went over to a friends’ to gen a character for a Shadowrun game.
This evening we’ve watched Doctor Who and now it’s bedtime. The weekend has disappeared all to quickly!

I’ve been productive in the workshops all day and had a great Pilates session at lunchtime.

Awesome day today! I did a load of enamel experiments, some etching and went for a bike ride at lunch time. Lucy is staying over tonight so we’ve been chatting all evening. I’ve also made tomorrow’s lunch - egg fried rice, from tonight’s leftovers and Snickerdoodles. :)
Bed early and reading my book now. Perfect day, really!

Good day today! Back to work. Went and played with etching and made a pendant. Tonight, Simon’s making burgers from scratch for the BBQ so I’m about to pick up my book for a bit!

Great day today. Chunxiao and I talked all morning about so many things. She made lunch for us - noodle soup with egg. It was amazing! I hope I’ll be able to replicate it.
Simon got home just as she was leaving so he got to say goodbye.

Missed yesterday’s post through sheer forgetfulness due to us hosting a Chinese student for the weekend and therefore getting the house nice and making various things to eat. This didn’t mean missing Pilates, however, at which my instructor decided that I now need to add weights to my back whilst doing the plank as it’s just got too easy for me! I’m flattered but scared!!

I’ve been to yoga, met people at the pub for a lunchtime drink and done boot camp circuits this evening. All good!
My birthday present from Simon also arrived today… A ukulele! Nice!

Today I baked oatmeal and raisin cookies before my friend, Rozelle and her 3 year old Phoebe came over at 10am for tea (and cola!)
Rozelle and I can chat for hours without drawing breath so it was lovely to catch up, also to play with Phoebe, who is, at the moment obsessed with the Olympics. What a great obsession to have!

Went into work today to help one of my ex-students pick up some work. She came back for a cuppa before heading back up north, which was lovely.
Did a load of washing, baked some cakes and then went Geocaching with Christine.

No post yesterday due to sun stroke and falling asleep on the sofa! Went to a great BBQ though!
We’ve had a very lazy day today, watching old movies and snuggling.
I’ve also been playing a little too much SongPop on my iPad but it’s not all my fault as I was getting neat instant replies from 2 of my friends all day…

Wow. I had a great birthday yesterday. Went into town with Simon first thing, had a hot chocolate at Chocolate Alchemy, picked up some parcels and had a look at some ukuleles! I went to Pilates at lunchtime then had a coffee afterwards with work colleagues. In the evening Simon’s parents took us out to dinner at Cafe Rouge in Leicester and then we went to see Brave at the cinema. Excellent...

I posted the pics of the cupcakes I made for work for my birthday separately.
In other news, I went to yoga at lunchtime, then reclaimed 10 bags of clay, then went to Boot Camp (circuits). I earned the cupcakes I ate!!
Tomorrow, we’re off Ukelele shopping for my birthday, then Pilates, then the in-laws are coming.

Wow! I’m tired! I have been making cupcakes since I got home from work.

Simon’s off watching Batman tonight with friends. I didn’t fancy it so am at home designing stuff!
Tomorrow night I plan on making cupcakes for Thursday at work being as it’s my birthday on Friday but I most definitely won’t be there! :)

Shock horror! No post yesterday! I was, quite frankly, knackered!
We got up early and went to Alton Towers to meet with a group of friends in time for early ride opening. I can’t believe how many rides we got! The queues weren’t bad at all and, despite joining the ‘single rider’ queues we were mainly on in twos. Lunch was lovely. A spicy chicken burger with crispy fries...

I have to say, I’m a little achey tonight after Boot Camp last night and a fairly tough Pilates session today!
Still, it’s been a good day, topped off by Ashleigh and Ed’s housewarming party, which we’ve just left early from because we’re off to Alton Towers in the morning. Great start to the weekend!

Well, today has been eventful!
I did a load of different stuff at work, including a road trip to show 2 of the printed textiles girls the fabric guild warehouse in Lesta and then went to boot camp at the gym after work… OOoowwww! I’m still going again next week though.

We had a great BBQ last night. I made apple nut spiced muffins, meringues and some coleslaw. Simon made burgers from scratch. Loads of people came, including a 4 month old baby (with Mum!) and a puppy! The cats were not impressed…
Today, we’ve been to our GodDaughter’s 1st birthday and we’re off for a picnic with friends this afternoon. It’s sunny but cloudy with a bit of breeze - perfect for me....

We’re off home, to the New Forest to stay with my parents and see The New Forest Show. Should be good!
